Buying yourself thinking time

Also ... (So ... - a common filler while thinking)
Wie sagt man das ... (How do you say that ... - useful when you're stuck mid-sentence)

Changing the subject naturally

Übrigens, ... (By the way, ... - reusing Lesson 96's abbreviation, spelled out)
Apropos [Thema] ... (Speaking of [topic] ...)

Ending a conversation gracefully

Ich muss jetzt los. (I have to head out now.)
War schön, dich zu treffen! (It was nice meeting you!)
