Describing a photo is a standard B1 Sprechen exam task (Goethe and telc both use it) - and a genuinely useful skill for everyday small talk (showing someone a photo from your phone).

Use these with the dative case (Lesson 18/42), since they answer "where": im Vordergrund, in der Mitte.
